Mawot Mag is a versatile 6'7" forward with a powerful story and a relentless drive to succeed at the professional level. Born in Juba, South Sudan, and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Mawot’s basketball journey has been defined by resilience, growth, and high-level performance on both coasts of the globe.

In 2018, Mawot moved to the United States to pursue his basketball dreams, joining the nationally recognized Prolific Prep Academy in Napa Valley, California. During his two seasons at Prolific Prep, he developed into a dynamic two-way forward, earning attention from top college programs with his length, athleticism, and defensive versatility.

He committed to Rutgers University, where he played four impactful seasons in the Big Ten Conference, consistently guarding multiple positions and contributing on both ends of the floor. Mawot earned his college degree in 2024 and was respected by teammates and coaches alike for his leadership and maturity.

Taking advantage of the NCAA’s COVID-19 eligibility waiver, Mawot transferred to BYU for his final collegiate season, where he continued to elevate his game in the Big 12 and positioned himself as a 2025 NBA Draft prospect.

Now signed with Philippe Doherty Sports Management, Mawot is preparing for the next step in his basketball journey. With professional tools, international experience, and a high basketball IQ, he is poised to make an impact at the next level.
